Nothing Exempts George From Showing In Court

George Michael has got the sobering prospect of going to court the day before his massive sold-out show at Wembley Stadium this summer.

The pop megastar must attend court on May 8, 30, 31 and June 8 relating to the charges he received for allegedly driving while unfit through drugs.

The day following the final proposed court date, Michael – real name George Panayiotu – will play the recently renovated Wembley Stadium.

District Judge Katherine Marshall rejected his request to stand trial without being present.

She said: “He is in the area because I believe he is playing at Wembley Stadium. I do not think he will have any difficulty being here on June 8.”
