Between the (enemy) lines?

‘I’m living my life how I choose. In no way, shape, or form am I hiding, or am I terrified. I’m having the time of my life living my life. I don’t think any degree of bizarre social pressure or media intrusion [means] I have to participate.’
- Kevin Spacey -

The “infamous” www.perezhilton.com says this means Kevin’s coming out.

This is what I want to know, and I’m honestly a bit puzzled by this… May be cause I’m young, female and blonde, but where, in that statement, does it say, “I’m gay”? I couldn’t give two shits if he IS, but I’m struggling a little to see where he actually comes out… All I can see is that he says he lives his life how he wants. (Reminds you of someone? lol.) The fact that the writer of Perez Hilton is the online Boy George; an everybody’s-gay-cause-I-am, narrow-minded little fucker, isn’t even the issue. lol. The issue is that the quote is taken out of context (what was the question?!) and means fuck-all. I think it’s just really important to some to know exactly who’s dicking who in Hollywood and beyond.

A little tip, and this may be hard to fathom, but if you get a life of your own… that may help?

“Always the same”

This phrase, that he himself sings, comes to mind when I watch Parkinson these days. People that come back time and time again seem to be talking about the same things every time they’re there. George, that kinda likes repeating himself, was no exception. It’s like a broken record, really. Rewind, play. Rewind, play.

It’s partly Parky’s fault, really, as he very much boxes people in. He has one of the funniest women in showbiz on, and he wants her to talk about her husband that committed suicide – adding, “You’ve all contemplated suicide, haven’t you? Joan, Stephen and, and George,” in his distinctive voice.

Maybe it’s just me, but I just feel like I’ve heard it all before! Probably cause I have, at least in George’s case, but to be honest I had a much better time watching Janice Dickinson, John Barrowman and Andrew Lloyd Webber on Jonathan Ross (now THAT! was fun!) on Friday than I enjoyed watching Joan Rivers, Stephen Fry and George Michael on Parkinson yesterday.

George on Eli Stone

A Poem

Camping on the porch of humble thoughts
Mounting the lover of tearful crime
Mourning the lost lover of your mind
Finding another to replace the other
Though nothing will help the mourning lover

George with Jo

  • George is doing a TV show in America entitled “Eli Stone” with Johnny Lee Miller. Comedy-drama on ABC. Each episode named after one of his songs – and he’s performing in the pilot. (Kinda like Ally McBeal? He’ll be like Vonda Shepperd – lol)
  • American tour is (still) under construction. Which explains the above, introducing the audience to a new song each week (which may mean that I’m right in suggesting he’ll be the Vonda of 2007. He appears to think he’s a bit of a joke in the US after all his great publicity since the early 90s ;)
  • A day for George: getting up midday, gym sessions in the evenings, rehearsals, gets inspiration “off the telly” for his songs… lol. (He left out some, uh, details, I think…)
  • Favourite TV shows; Coronation Street, EastEnders, Sopranos, West Wing, 6 Feet Under, American series in general. Oh, and 24 – from his Jack Bauer reference.
  • No Andrew on tour.
  • He’s afraid to go to his fansites now cause they’ll direct him to the press. Well, listen, George, I’ll make sure to not link you anywhere – but give you the general idea, rather, shall I? lol. At the moment: People generally think you’re going to jail. That’s about the jist of it.
  • VH-1 blanked out “Novocaine” in “Shoot The Dog”. Funny.
  • “What are you happiest doing?” “You can’t ask me that anymore.” ;)

Blimey

So it does snow in hell. George pleads guilty (shock 1). George admits being ashamed (shock 2). George rants in court (not too much of a shock – ;) .)

Well, then. I hope he fired his legal team for not mentioning the opportunity to settle out of court. lol.

George speaks out – on VH-1

The star speaks to us about opening Wembley Stadium, drugs and his new material…

George Michael has revealed he pestered Wembley bosses to make sure he opened the rebuilt stadium.

In an exclusive interview for VH1’s Inside Track he said: “I started making enquiries last year and I told the people building Wembley ‘I don’t care when it happens but I want to open it.’”

The singer of hits Fast Love and Outside will be the first artist to play the 90,000 capacity venue on June 9.

George added: “I’m not afraid this time just excited. I can only imagine something the size of Wembley. I’ve spent the last two years getting ready (for this tour).

“I was shocked at how well my voice has survived after all these years and I haven’t had to stop smoking the Weed!”

Speaking to Jo Whiley the former Wham star also spoke about the huge amounts he can earn from private shows.

“My starting price is $3 Million and it will probably go up when I stop touring,” George revealed. “What I’m thinking is that I can be a bit Robin Hood about people wanting to see me (play live) privately.”

Michael believes this can help him release music his own way: “I’m not a complete fool,” he said. “What I’d like to do is release my music for free to people who want to go get it- then I won’t have to interact with an increasingly hostile media.

The Jo Whiley Inside Track special is on VH1 at 7pm next Friday May 11
